BD BACTEC Plus Anaerobic Medium is an all-purpose, enriched soybean-casein digest broth medium capable of supporting the growth of common obligate anaerobic and facultative organisms. This medium contains resins for antibiotic neutralization.

- Used in a qualitative procedure for the culture and recovery of anaerobic microorganisms from blood
- Fluorescent series bar-coded blood culture media
- Each vial contains a chemical sensor which can detect increases in CO2 produced by the growth of microorganisms
- Vials ready to use as received - require no reconstitution or dilution
- Detection is limited to microorganisms that will grow in a particular type of medium
