This IV extension set is used to connect the Thermal Angel® (item TA-200) to an IV catheter. This short extension helps minimize heat loss at the infusion site.

The Thermal Angel® is a lightweight battery powered blood and IV fluid warmer that serves as a single point of heated infusion from first patient contact through the entire continuum of care. The un-obtrusive device allows for greater access to the patient. Due to its unique, smart disposable design, the Thermal Angel® directly measures and heats the fluid at 5,000 times per second, regulating an output temperature of 38 degrees C (+/- 3 degrees C) in approximately 45 seconds. The Thermal Angel® heaters adjust automatically in response to changes in flow rate or bolus flows. At just 9oz, the portable fluid warmer can be quickly set up in 30 seconds, and used in a variety of EMS,  fire, flight, military and other field environments. The disposable device does not require any replaceable cartridges or cleaning, and is powered by a reusable battery (TA-UB1). The Thermal Angel® is inserted below standard IV Tubing coming from the bag, before the extension set (TA-9EXTNF) leading to the infusion site. The standard luer fittings accept standard IV line sets.

• Consistant Performance: The Thermal Angel® TA-200 will strive to achieve 38°C (100.4°F) ±3°C at a flow rate of 2 to 150mL/min given a fluid input temperature of 20°C (68°F) with a fully charged TA-UB1 Battery. This temperature is set by the manufacturer and may not be altered.
• Accurate: Measures/adjusts output temperature 5000X per second. With changes in flow rate or input fluid temperature, the Thermal Angel® will require an adjustment period of approximately 15-30 seconds. The Thermal Angel® TA-200 is designed to operate with flow rates of 2 to 150mL/min.
• Long Lasting: A fully charged Ultra Battery 1 (TA-UB1) will last approximately 1 to 2.5 liters of IV fluid at various flow rates with an input temperature of 20°C (68°F) or 1 to 3 units of blood with an input temperature of 10°C (50°F).
• Portable: The Thermal Angel® TA-200 may be left in-line until the IV site or line is changed, up to 72 hours. The Thermal Angel® will perform for approximately 72 hours of accumulated use while receiving power from multiple fully charged batteries.
• Compatible: The Thermal Angel® TA-200 is compatible with any existing IV administration set that utilizes standard luer connections.
