In environments where meticulous precautions are paramount, such as compounding pharmacies and healthcare facilities handling chemotherapy drugs, the Safetec Hazardous Drugs Spill Kit is the frontline defense against unforeseen spills and exposures. This kit is designed to mitigate risks posed to healthcare workers, patients, and the environment by swiftly addressing hazardous drug (HD) spills with its USP <800> compliant components. As mandated by USP General Chapter 800, facilities handling HDs must have compliant spill kits on-site to protect against accidental spills. The kit features our cutting-edge Green-Z® solidifier that absorbs up to 750 ml/cc’s for swift cleanup and disposal while minimizing exposure risks. The nitrile gloves are tested for use with cytotoxic drugs using ASTM D6978. They are powder-free, latex-free, DEHP-free, and silicone-free. The gown is compatible with OSHA recommendations and ASHP and ONS guidelines for wearing a gown while preparing or administering hazardous drugs. It is disposable, lint-free, made of low permeability fabric, constructed with a solid front and back closure, and long-sleeved with tight-fitting cuffs.
