Q: Who is Bound Tree Medical?

A: Bound Tree Medical, LLC (Bound Tree) is a nationwide distributor of emergency medical equipment, supplies and pharmaceuticals. For over 45 years, Bound Tree has been dedicated to helping those who save and improve patients’ lives, serving customers in Fire/EMS, Law Enforcement, DOD/Government Agencies, Education, Clinics/Hospitals, Local Businesses and others involved in emergency medical care and treatment. Q: What is the agreement between Bound Tree and QuadMed?

A: Bound Tree Medical, LLC entered into an agreement to acquire QuadMed, Inc. The signing of the agreement was officially announced on May 2, 2024. The full integration of QuadMed into Bound Tree is expected to be complete 60-90 days after the official announcement. Until the integration date, QuadMed will continue to service their customers as before. After the full integration date, Bound Tree will assume full operation of the QuadMed business and will service customers under the Bound Tree brand name.

Q: When will the full integration of QuadMed to Bound Tree take place?

A: The full integration of QuadMed into Bound Tree is expected to be complete 60-90 days after the official announcement. A dedicated team from QuadMed and Bound Tree is diligently working on a seamless transition plan to ensure there is little to no disruption for customers during the transition. The Bound Tree team will keep customers informed as the full integration date approaches.

Q: What are the benefits of becoming a Bound Tree Customer?

Q: What can customers expect during the transition?

A: Until the integration is complete, no action is needed from customers. Bound Tree’s dedicated team is diligently working towards ensuring a seamless transition:

  • Integration of QuadMed into Bound Tree to be completed within the next 60-90 days.
  • Until the full integration date, QuadMed will continue normal operations.
  • Bound Tree will seamlessly transfer QuadMed account information and pricing to Bound Tree upon integration.
  • Bound Tree will provide customers with details on how to access their new Bound Tree account prior to the integration date.
  • Those who already have a Bound Tree account can continue ordering from Bound Tree.
  • Bound Tree will provide regular updates and important information about the transition.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT TRANSFER

Q: Will customers be able to continue to order from QuadMed?

A: QuadMed will continue to operate uninterrupted during the integration. Customers can place orders with QuadMed through the date of integration, after which all orders will be automatically transferred to Bound Tree to fulfill. All orders after the integration date should be placed directly with Bound Tree. Customers who visit the quadmed.com website after the full integration date will automatically be redirected to the Bound Tree website where their username will be ported over, and their pricing and backorders will be preserved.

Q: Will customers have the same Account Manager as they had at QuadMed?

A: Customers might have the same Account Manager who serviced them at QuadMed, or they may be assigned to a new account manager from Bound Tree. During the integration, the Sales and Customer Care teams from QuadMed will be working closely with the Sales and Customer Care teams from Bound Tree to ensure a customer-first approach is taken to each aspect of managing our relationship with customers. Contact information for their dedicated Bound Tree Account Manager is forthcoming and will be communicated prior to the full integration.

Q: What phone number should customers use to reach Customer Care?

A: Prior to the transition, customers can continue to contact QuadMed Customer Service at 904-880-2323. After the transition date, calls will automatically be re-routed to Bound Tree Customer Care at 800-533-0523.

Q: Will customers have the same distribution center as current?

A: Until the integration, QuadMed customers will still be shipped from their current facility. After the transition, customers will be serviced from a Bound Tree facility that is closest to them for faster, more efficient service. Information about assigned distributions centers is forthcoming.

Q: What if a customer already has an account with Bound Tree?

A: For customers who already have a Bound Tree account, their QuadMed account information will be transferred to that Bound Tree account at integration. They will continue to use their Bound Tree account number and current Bound Tree account username and password after the integration.

Q: What if a customer does not have an account with Bound Tree, will they get a new account number?

A: If a customer does not have an existing account with Bound Tree, their QuadMed account will be given a new Bound Tree account number. All their account information, including their order history, pricing, contacts and shipping addresses, payment preferences, licenses and any open orders or backorders will be ported over to their new Bound Tree account. Former QuadMed customers can log into their new Bound Tree Account using their QuadMed username and will be asked to create a new password.

Q: How will customers get information about their new Bound Tree account?

A: Prior to the integration date, new Bound Tree customers will receive essential information about their account, including their new account number and contact information for their Account Manager. Be on the lookout for important e-mail updates over the next several weeks. Customers can feel free to call their new Bound Tree Account Manager or Bound Tree Customer Care team at (800) 533-0523, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST or by emailing contactcustomercare@boundtree.com.

Q: Will the Bound Tree Customer Care team and Bound Tree Account Manager know a customer’s previous QuadMed account number?

A:Yes, the Bound Tree Customer Care team and the Bound Tree Account Managers will have access to the customer’s previous QuadMed account number and purchase history and new Bound Tree account number. Bound Tree account numbers will be emailed to customers prior to the integration date. Customers will also have access to this information from their Bound Tree Customer Dashboard when they log into their Bound Tree account after the transition.

PRODUCTS/PRICING

Q: Will Bound Tree carry the same products as QuadMed?

A: There is a substantial overlap of products available between QuadMed and Bound Tree. Bound Tree will also be adding additional items from QuadMed that were not previously offered by Bound Tree. In total, customers should expect to have access to even more products, including pharmaceuticals, enhancing the experience and ability to source all their needs in one place.

Q: Will customers have the same pricing on Bound Tree products that they have on QuadMed products?

A: QuadMed pricing will carry over to Bound Tree by the full integration date. For customers who have accounts at both Bound Tree and QuadMed, the lowest price will prevail.

Q: Will customers see their pricing on the Bound Tree website?

A: After the full integration date, customers will need to log in to the Bound Tree website to see their customized pricing as well as product availability.

Q: What if a customer has previously negotiated contract pricing with QuadMed – will Bound Tree honor that contract?

A: Yes, Bound Tree offers a full line of emergency medications, including Class II and Class IV narcotics, to licensed medical professionals. Customers can easily order class II controlled substances through Bound Tree’s secure electronic Controlled Substances Ordering System (CSOS) without the supporting paper DEA Form 222. Q: Can customers purchase pharmaceuticals from Bound Tree?

A: Yes, negotiated pricing will be brought over to Bound Tree. Bound Tree Account Managers will work with customers to ensure contracted pricing is preserved.

Q: Will the QuadMed product item numbers work on the Bound Tree website?

A: QuadMed item numbers are being cross-referenced with Bound Tree item numbers and after the integration date, customers will be able to search boundtree.com using QuadMed item numbers to find the comparable items.

Q: How does a customer log onto Bound Tree’s website?

A: If the customer has an existing account with Bound Tree, they will use their current Bound Tree login credentials to access their account on boundtree.com. Their QuadMed account information will be ported over to their existing Bound Tree account. If the customer does not have an existing Bound Tree account, they should use their QuadMed site username and create a new password to access their account on the Bound Tree site.

Q: Will a customer’s previous QuadMed order history and reports be available on the Bound Tree website?

A: Yes, a customer’s QuadMed account information will be available on boundtree.com and on Bound Tree’s order management system allowing them, their Bound Tree Account Manager or Customer Care representative to access their account information, including account history, contacts and shipping addresses, open orders, backorders and payment preferences.

ORDERS/PAYMENTS

Q: If a customer still has a product on order with QuadMed, what happens to that order?

A: QuadMed will continue to fulfill orders placed through them until the integration date, after which time, Bound Tree will automatically transfer the orders to their system and fulfill the orders. Customers will NOT lose their place in line for any items on backorder. For any questions about order status or payments prior to the integration date, customers are advised to contact their QuadMed account manager or QuadMed customer service contact. After the integration date, customers should contact the Bound Tree Customer Care team at (800) 533-0523, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST or by emailing customercare@boundtree.com.

Q: If a QuadMed customer has a backorder, will they keep their "place in line" after the integration to get their backorder fulfilled from their Bound Tree account?

A: Customers will not lose their "place in line." Backorders will come over with the original requested ship date from the PO and be fulfilled in order of date placed.

Q: What if a customer has an outstanding balance/credit with QuadMed?

A: Outstanding balances including credits will be migrated over to Bound Tree by the integration date and can be paid/used at Bound Tree moving forward.

Q: Where do customers remit payments?

A: Before the integration date, customers should continue to submit their payments to EMP, as before. After the integration date, customers should submit payments to Bound Tree.

Q: Does Bound Tree charge credit card fees?

A: No, Bound Tree does not charge fees to use a credit card to pay for purchases.

Q: Will customers pay the same freight as they did with QuadMed?

A: Previous shipping and freight terms are being transferred to the customer’s Bound Tree account. If a customer already has an account with Bound Tree, the Bound Tree freight terms will prevail.

Q: Where can customers access important documents, such as W-9s and ACH/Wire Instructions?

A: Bound Tree will provide PDFs of these documents on a web page for customers to access prior to the integration date.
